ARTICLE RETRACTION POLICY

The retraction of publications in the scientific journal Regional Aspects of Productive Forces Development of Ukraine is carried out in accordance with international standards, including the COPE Retraction Guidelines, and the journal’s editorial policy.

Article retraction is an official procedure applied in cases of violations of academic integrity, publication ethics, or significant errors that affect the reliability and validity of research findings.

Grounds for Article Retraction

An article may be retracted in the event of:

  • detection of plagiarism or unauthorized use of another person's research results;

  • confirmed cases of data fabrication or falsification;

  • duplicate publication without appropriate citation or approval;

  • violation of copyright;

  • improper attribution of authorship (including unjustified inclusion or exclusion of co-authors);

  • significant errors that distort the research findings;

  • concealment of essential information, including conflicts of interest or the use of AI technologies.

Initiation of the Retraction Procedure

The following parties may initiate a retraction request:

  • the author(s) of the article;

  • reviewers;

  • readers;

  • members of the Editorial Board;

  • scientific or educational institutions.

Review and Decision-Making Process

Requests for retraction must be submitted in writing to the editorial office at:

rarpsu@wunu.edu.ua

The Editorial Board:

  • conducts a preliminary assessment of the validity of the request;

  • may engage independent experts where necessary;

  • provides the author(s) with an opportunity to submit explanations.

Following the review, the Editorial Board may decide to:

  • dismiss the complaint as unfounded;

  • publish a correction;

  • retract the article and publish an official retraction notice.

Retraction Procedure

In the event of retraction:

  • an official notice stating the reasons for the retraction is published;

  • the electronic version of the article remains publicly accessible and is clearly marked as “Retracted”;

  • relevant information is communicated to indexing and scientometric databases.

Notification of Parties and Appeals

The author(s) will be informed of the reasons for the retraction.

Authors have the right to submit an appeal within 30 days of receiving the decision. Appeals are reviewed by the Editorial Board with the involvement of independent experts where appropriate.

The decision reached following the appeal process is final.

Preservation of Information

Retracted articles remain in the journal archive with appropriate notices and markings to ensure transparency and integrity in scholarly communication.
