Abstract

Background. The study is highly relevant given the transformation of the healthcare services market under the influence of medical reform, as well as security and European integration challenges. In this context, patient-centeredness is becoming a key factor in the economic competitiveness of a facility and a mandatory condition for its financial stability and efficient functioning.

Methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of the article is formed by the fundamental provisions of modern economic science and the works of domestic and foreign scholars and practitioners. Within this study, systemic, marketing, innovative, and process approaches were applied. The research process involved methods of systemic, structural, factor, and comparative analysis.

Results. The article explores the theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of transforming quality management systems in healthcare facilities in Ukraine. The necessity of transitioning from traditional administrative management models to a human-centered paradigm is substantiated. It is emphasized that the implementation of a patient-centered quality management model in Ukrainian healthcare facilities requires a systemic algorithm of actions covering technological, organizational, and socio-cultural management levels. The author analyzes the main quality criteria for modern medical care, highlighting safety, timeliness, equity, patient-centeredness, and economic rationality. The paper systematizes strategic pathways for implementing a patient-centered management model, including digitalization of the patient journey, introduction of feedback tools, transformation of organizational culture, and adaptation of the service environment to patient needs. It is proven that human-centered management serves as a tool for increasing patient compliance, which directly impacts the financial stability of the institution.

Discussion. The prospects for the practical application of the results lie in the possibility of their implementation into strategic management models of medical facilities to ensure their financial stability and high competitiveness amidst the market transformation of the industry. The developed methodological approaches can serve as a basis for improving internal quality control systems for medical service delivery.
